SS501 has already teased us for their comeback but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little more after it was pushed to the end of May instead of the beginning.

Their company DSP Media said, “SS501 will greet their fans on the 28th with a new mini album. All five members recently completed the music video recording. They will have their first comeback stage on June 4th through Music Bank and will also perform on May 22nd at the 2010 Dream Concert.”

Though SS501’s contract with DSP ends in June, the boys are working hard on their upcoming mini album at the moment and are still in the process of recording.

Citation :: Kim Hyun Joong was in a car accident

It was revealed late that SS501’s leader and actor Kim Hyun Joong had been involved in a car accident recently.

DSP Media said on the 18th, “Kim Hyun Joong was driving on the 12th and he had a friend with him when they crashed into another car. He suffered injuries to his ribs and also got some bruises and abrasions. Due to his injuries, it will take two weeks for him to recover fully. At the Dream Concert on May 22nd, he will only perform ballad songs.”

The dance moves will be too hard to handle in his condition so he will sing the ballads Let Me Be the One and Just One Day on stage.

And thus their album will be delayed to early June instead.

Citation :: Korean idol group SS501 is gearing up for a comeback with their upcoming new album "DESTINATION" due out May 31, according to their agency DSP Entertainment on Tuesday.

DSP explained in a press release that some of the most talented musicians in Korea, Europe and the U.S., including prominent Korean-American music producer Steven Lee, collaborated to create the new album.

Lee, who had written and arranged all the tracks in the group's previous album "REBIRTH," also composed the title track, named "Love Ya," in the new album.

All the songs in "DESTINATION" have been arranged to piano accompaniments while incorporating a minimum of electronic sounds that are prevalent in current K-pop music.

Some of the songs included in the record are R&B tune "Let Me Be The One" and a dance number called "Crazy 4 U," which was performed by the band during their "PERSONA Asia Tour" but left out on the previous album. Fans are said to have requested that SS501 include this particular track on the new album.

SS501, who debuted in 2005 with single "Warning," made a successful comeback to the music scene last October, topping various music charts with their second mini-album "Rebirth".

They kicked off their "1st Asia Tour Persona" in Seoul last August and went on to perform in Tokyo, Taipei, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The five member group are scheduled to give a comeback performance on KBS' "Music Bank" on June 4.

Lyrics for MBLAQ’s Y are in trouble !

Citation :: MBLAQ’s comeback seemed to be on a good start with their music video for Y released just a few days ago and the track slowly rising in various charts. However, MBLAQ already received warnings from MBC, KBS and SBS due to the shooting scene in the music video, which they had to ultimately remove.

Now MBLAQ is facing more problems, this time, because of the lyrics.

MBC announced that the lyrics for Y were unsuitable for broadcast. The specific lyrics that were problematic were, “널 씹어서 뱉어준다” which roughly translates into “I’ll chew you up and spit you out”.

A representative of J.Tune Entertainment said, “We will alter the problematic section and request a re-evaluation from the specific broadcasting company”

Meanwhile, KBS did not find any problems with the lyrics of Y, and MBLAQ is awaiting the official review of SBS.

It seems like a rough start for MBLAQ, but hopefully they will overcome these conflicts and make a grand comeback! Stay tuned on allkpop for their comeback stage on Mnet M!Countdown tonight!

Ahead of SS501’s impending return with their new album Destination at the end of the month, a couple of new concept photos have been released.

Having earlier released a set of pictures which saw them donning gas masks, the SS501 boys are now pictured with props like whips, etc for the sadomasochism concept that they are adopting for their album’s style.

Pre-orders for their new album which comes in a normal and special edition will begin on various portal sites in Korea from May 24th and a fan signing is already being set for May 28th before they begin their promotions.

It was only a matter of time before the ELF nation prevails as Super Junior gave another awesome performances and had Choi Siwon back from salivary gland surgery as well while also romping to their first K-Chart win since making their return after a long absence. Super Junior had obtained 14k+ points which was more than double of what Kim C had who lost to an idol group again. Congratulations to them!

But it seems that it was not so behind the scenes. In a scene where Joon was talking, it seems that the staff had a slip and ended up typing “Junho” in the caption. Overall though, the episode was enjoyable and as long as we get good eye candy, whether it be Junho or Joon or Hyori, we are all happy.

Citation :: SS501’s new track Love Ya gets leaked!

It looks like history is repeating itself with SS501 – as with their REBIRTH album last October, the track Love Ya from quintet’s upcoming mini-album Destination was recently broadcast on MBC’s Chin Chin Radio Show, inadvertently exposing it to the public before official release. Since then, audio rips have surfaced on various Korean & Chinese portal sites, garnering the attention of netizens and the panic of many fans worldwide.

We won’t be posting the video in this article, but I can promise you that the album is shaping up to be quite enjoyable for anyone that’s liked SS501’s style of music in the past. Love Ya is a mid-tempo dance song underlined with a sad piano & strings tune and addictive chorus. This new track follows SS501’s pattern of bringing forth music with dismal yet hopeful melodies.

Alternatively, Let Me Be the One (그게 너라) is a ballad remake of singer-songwriter Andre Mieux’s track of the same title, composed by Andre himself along with Steven Lee and Sean Alexander. As we’ve reported in the past, Steven Lee is a huge producer who’s completed tracks for TVXQ, Super Junior, f(x), Wheesung, KAT-TUN, V6 and more. Furthermore, Sean Alexander co-wrote TVXQ’s You’re My Melody, SHINee’s Amigo, Taeyang’s Sinners, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus’s Shining Star and SS501’s previous hit Love Like This. DSP Media reportedly purchased copyright permission for this track and worked with Mieux, Lee and Alexander for this Korean reproduction.

It’s been confirmed that Destination will include four tracks: Let Me Be the One, Love Ya, Crazy For You and Forever (영원토록).

As you may recall, this album was scheduled for release in early May, but was delayed due to member Hyun Joong’s car accident injuries that have kept him bedridden for the past two weeks. Remember to support SS501 by purchasing their album after its release on May 31; stay tuned for their live comeback on Music Bank next Friday on June 4!

It’s been brought to our attention by S0leill123 that Love Ya seems to be a Korean reproduction of an English track as well! As people who have heard this track already may have noticed, the track bears an undeniable resemblance to Michealangelo’s 2009 track Let Me Love Ya.

(Note: If you don’t want to hear SS501’s track yet, you probably don’t want to listen to this either.)

As the album isn’t out yet & DSP hasn’t issued any statements regarding this matter, the copyright details behind Love Ya are unclear; however, Michaelangelo has closely worked with both Steven Lee & Sean Alexander in the past with tracks like I Say Go, it’s basically certain that there will be no legal turmoil over this. Although some fans must be disappointed that SS501’s track isn’t brand new, it’s kind of cool to have an English version of sorts, don’t you think?
